Senior Systems Engineer

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and oversee engineering activities across complex information systems environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high‑impact mission spaces and excels at integrating hardware, software, and enterprise‑level architectures. You will shape system designs, guide engineering teams, and ensure solutions meet the needs of GEOINT and Intelligence Community stakeholders.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide expert-level systems engineering support across requirements, design, integration, and evaluation activities. You will help translate mission needs into actionable system requirements, guide technical planning, and support enterprise‑level engineering decisions. This role also includes coordinating the work of mid‑ and junior‑level engineers while ensuring alignment with NSG, ASG, and broader IC objectives.

• Provide requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and systems integration support across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.

• Analyze and trace user requirements, architectures, workflows, and cloud service capabilities.

• Recommend design changes based on evolving requirements and emerging technologies.

• Capture and translate mission needs into system and capability requirements.

• Support allocation of requirements to architecture components and program execution.

• Conduct AoAs, CoAs, trade studies, and engineering assessments.

• Assist with technical planning, project management, performance engineering, and risk management.

• Integrate Maven across NGA, the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, and the IC.

• Oversee and coordinate mid‑ and junior‑level systems engineers.

• Apply knowledge of DIE, NSG/ASG, and NRO enterprise environments.

• TS/SCI active clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

• 10+ years of experience, including 6+ years within the DoD and/or Intelligence Community.

• Senior-level experience in:

  • DoD/IC Acquisition Processes

  • Requirements and PPBES Processes

  • Systems engineering for large, complex SoS or cloud/Service-Oriented Architectures

• Demonstrated experience with:

  • Systems engineering lifecycle

  • Digital Engineering Framework and Configuration Management

  • DoDAF standards (6+ years)

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • Systems engineering tools

• Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field.

• Knowledge of MBSE processes, tools, and languages.

• Software Development Framework certification.

• Experience in:

  • GEOINT mission environments

  • Cloud-based engineering solutions

  • Big Data (structured and unstructured)

  • Automation, Augmentation, and AI technologies
