Systems Analyst 2

Overview
We are seeking a Systems Analyst 2 to support business process analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and stakeholder communication for application enhancements. The role involves working with both technical and non-technical teams to analyze business needs, document solutions, support testing, and maintain clear communication throughout the software development life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from non-technical subject matter experts and translate business needs into use cases, flow charts, acceptance criteria, and other project documentation.
- Analyze current and proposed business processes to determine impacts of system changes and enhancements.
- Assist in developing application documentation and online help materials.
- Ensure design aligns with established standards and project requirements.
- Create test data, write test scripts and execution sequences, review test results, and debug detected issues.
- Prepare status reports on enhancement activities and issue resolution.
- Communicate progress and critical issues to managers, technical leads, business analysts, developers, database administrators, and project managers.
- Share system knowledge through documentation, discussions, and coordination to reduce single points of failure.
- Support implementation strategies and solutions and update stakeholders as needed.
Required Experience
- 5 years of experience with Medicaid claims processing.
- 5 years of experience identifying business objectives, problems, and alternative solutions.
- 5 years of experience analyzing and evaluating user requirements, procedures, and system problems.
- 5 years of experience writing detailed user needs, program functions, and modification steps.
- 5 years of experience with cost/benefit analysis of systems and alternatives.
- 5 years of experience documenting input/output requirements and reporting formats.
- 5 years of experience with Azure DevOps and wireframe generation.
- 5 years of strong logic and analytical ability.
- 5 years of strong oral and written communication skills.
- 5 years of strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others.
- 5 years of knowledge of IT trends and how they apply to the organization.
- 5 years of knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools.
- 5 years of knowledge of emerging technologies.
- 5 years of knowledge of data integrity practices, standards, and procedures.
- 5 years of knowledge of Agile or Scrum delivery methods.
Preferred Experience
- 2 years with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
- 2 years with information architecture and information management methodologies.
- 2 years with global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
Work Schedule and Location
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hybrid work model: 3 days remote and 2 days onsite, with onsite days currently Monday and Tuesday.
- Candidates must already reside in Texas and be local to the Austin area within a 50-mile radius.
- Work may occasionally be required outside normal business hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with pre-approval for overtime.
