About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to join our Florida office. This role plays a key part in leading projects, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality surveying solutions. The Project Manager will collaborate with senior leadership and technical teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Our organization specializes in delivering high-accuracy surveys for design, boundary determination, right-of-way mapping, and utility engineering. We help clients navigate the complexities of infrastructure projects through technical expertise and advanced technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Identify new business opportunities and support growth initiatives
- Coordinate with internal teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects successfully
- Prepare proposals, estimates, and responses to client requests (RFPs/RFQs)
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy
- Establish project work plans, assign tasks, and manage team performance
- Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements
- Review and approve survey data, design calculations, and technical deliverables
- Lead QA/QC processes to maintain accuracy and consistency in outputs
- Represent the organization at client meetings and project discussions
- Oversee processing of field data and preparation of maps and reports
- Support marketing and business development efforts at local and regional levels
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in surveying, including both field data collection and office processing
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field (preferred, not required)
- Strong business development and client relationship management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Proficiency in survey-related mathematical computations
- Experience with software such as OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools
- Knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and utility coordination is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays for project assignments
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional field visits for quality control, progress reviews, and project estimation
