Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Manager-Structural Engineer based in Blue Bell, PA. The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate structural engineering projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and performance goals are met. Primary responsibilities include managing project schedules, fostering communication between teams, handling client interactions, troubleshooting engineering challenges, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining proper logistics for successful project execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor structural staff; set goals, provide feedback, and support career development.
  • Lead structural design delivery; ensure engineering best practices, compliance, and high-quality drawings/calculations.
  • Plan and manage scope, schedule, budget, and resourcing for assigned projects; monitor progress and risks.
  • Coordinate internal disciplines and subconsultants to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Partner with clients and external stakeholders to align requirements, resolve issues, and identify opportunities.
  • Conduct/coordinate site investigations, inspections, and observations, as needed.
  • Review survey reports, drawings, maps, and geotechnical/topographic data to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare proposals, fee estimates, budgets, and change/extra-work requests as appropriate.
  • Maintain project quality plans and support invoicing/accounts receivable coordination.
  • Support hiring and onboarding; contribute to interviews, training, and performance reviews.
  • Allocate staff resources and priorities across active structural projects in line with department workload.
  • Provide input to performance reviews and development plans (PDPs) based on observed results and competencies.
  • Make day-to-day technical and delivery decisions to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated project management capability (scope/schedule/budget and stakeholder coordination).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required; Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering and project management software tools like Deltek Ajera is preferred.
  • Experience with complex and mission-critical environments is an advantage.
