Position: Supply Planner

Location: 5400 International Trade Dr Richmond, VA

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm - on site 5 days/week

Duration: Permanent / Direct Hire

Annual Salary: $75-82k

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; specialization in Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain planning
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge with ERP systems
  • Strategical planning thinking
  • Good understanding of supply chain networks


Position Summary:

The Local Supply Planner is responsible for driving and optimizing the supply chain management in the mid-term planning horizon for the factory. Answering the questions: What needs to be done in order to meet the expected demand? What needs to be done when? What are the risks in the supply chain going through the factory?

  • Lead and coordinate factory supply chain activities while aligning with product group objectives.
  • Manage the monthly local supply review cycle and support decision-making to address supply risks and gaps.
  • Develop and maintain local stock strategies (SI, NI, RI, BI) in alignment with product group direction.
  • Oversee local inventory management processes and ensure component planning data remains accurate and up to date.
  • Translate demand inputs from the Central Business Unit into component-level forecasts and incorporate local business insights to refine projections.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the local supply chain and contribute to global supply chain enhancements.
  • Track and report supply chain performance metrics to support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Execute administrative responsibilities in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Actively participate in Status Board meetings and contribute to problem resolution and improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to standard operating procedures.
  • Promote waste reduction and efficiency in all supply chain activities.
