Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Planner to support supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans that balance customer demand, production capacity, inventory targets, and material availability. The ideal candidate will have experience managing both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) planning environments while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute short- and medium-term supply plans to support production and customer demand requirements.
• Manage supply planning activities across both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) product lines.
• Translate demand forecasts, customer orders, and backlog requirements into actionable production and procurement plans.
• Monitor backlog health, order fulfillment performance, and delivery commitments while proactively addressing supply risks.
• Establish and maintain inventory strategies including safety stock, cycle stock, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Participate in SIOP and S&OE processes by providing supply analysis, capacity assessments, and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, Customer Service, and Sales teams to resolve supply constraints and improve service levels.
• Analyze key supply chain metrics including OTIF, inventory turns, DIO, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and backlog performance.
• Develop and maintain supply planning reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support business decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, inventory optimization, and process efficiency.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Planning.
• 3+ years of experience supporting both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) environments.
• Experience with SIOP and S&OE planning processes.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, backlog management, and customer order fulfillment.
• Experience using ERP and supply planning systems such as Kinaxis, Oracle, JDE, SAP, o9, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) are highly preferred.
