Title: Supply Chain Program Specialist – (Healthcare / Hospital)

Duration: 12 – 18 Months (possibility of conversion to FTE)

Location: Shreveport, LA


Payrate will be in the range between $25/hr and $30/hr on W-2

About Client: Our client designs and implements inventory management solutions to optimize healthcare facility supply chain processes.

Job Summary: The Program Specialist plays a critical role in implementing and maintaining supply chain and inventory management systems within healthcare settings. The position will work on-site with customer clinical staff to design and coordinate optimum solutions for specific customer needs. They will identify products needed, build carts, label bins, and put complete Kanban solution together. After initial training Program Specialist will be able to expertly put systems together independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Collaboration: Foster a cooperative work environment to communicate effectively with teammates
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify challenges and implement effective
  • Workspace/System Management: Maintain organized workspace and understand the system provided comprehensively
  • Rack Assembly/Installation: Assemble and install racks and hardware accurately
  • Labeling/Inventory Management: Ensure accurate labeling and efficient bin fitting for inventory (like expertly playing Tetris)
  • System Implementation/Support: Assist with system installations and provide post-installation support and training
  • Gemba Walks and Improvement: Coordinate an conduct Gemba walks to observe, gather feedback, and improve processes
  • Engineering Space Layout: Create accurate room layouts to develop space optimization plans
  • Quality Control: Perform final quality checks on racks to minimize errors
  • Technology Proficiency: Use proprietary technology and Excel efficiently for data management and reporting
  • Training and Leadership: Train new team members and lead daily build tasks to maintain project momentum
  • Post-Install Training: Conduct training sessions for end users on system use and inventory management
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitor and report inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment

Qualifications:

  • Must be self-motivated and driven to succeed and have strong sense of urgency
  • Previous experience with supply chain operations, inventory management, and warehousing is a big plus
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Kanban, Six Sigma, Microsoft Excel and/or other data management tools preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand and sit for extended periods of time, crouch, push/pull, and lift up to 35lbs
  • Flexibility to work non-peak hours for Go-Live Implementation, as needed.
  • At the conclusion of engagement in initial location (12 - 18 months), Program Specialist will be asked to relocate to another city or state.
