Supply Chain Manager

Industry: Manufacturing – Aluminum Composite Panels
Alumanate is the only signage-grade aluminum composite panel manufacturer in the U.S. and one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry. With rapid expansion into new markets, we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to take full ownership of our purchasing and supply chain processes.
This is a strategic, hands-on role — own our supply chain end to end: making sure the right raw materials are always in the building so our lines never stop, while keeping inventory investment under control. We work with a mix of domestic and international suppliers, so this role lives in the details of sourcing, lead-time management (e.g., 12-14 weeks), and consistent vendor communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management & Negotiation
- Source, qualify, and manage vendors for raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
- Negotiate best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Build strong relationships while maintaining competitive leverage.
- Procurement Strategy & Cost Optimization
- Develop purchasing strategies to control costs and improve margins.
- Monitor commodity pricing trends and proactively adjust sourcing strategies.
- Identify and onboard alternative suppliers to minimize risk and improve pricing.
- Forecasting & Inventory Planning
- Manage procurement for long-lead materials (e.g., 12-14 weeks) based on forecasts and sales demand.
- Create and maintain reorder point systems to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with operations, production, and sales to align forecasts with demand.
- Process & Reporting
- Own the procurement calendar, ensuring timely ordering and delivery of materials.
- Implement reporting dashboards and KPIs to track vendor performance, forecast accuracy, and cost savings.
- Partner cross-functionally to keep all stakeholders informed of procurement status and risks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing with global vendors.
- Proven success negotiating pricing and payment terms with overseas suppliers.
- Experience managing long-lead procurement cycles and balancing multiple vendors per SKU.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory control, and cost management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift quickly.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
Ideal Candidate
- Comfortable operating in a growing 24/7 manufacturing company
- Experience working with overseas suppliers, international logistics, containers, and long-lead-time purchasing is highly valued
- Strong analytical and organizational mindset
- Able to think ahead and proactively manage supply chain timelines
- Understands the importance of inventory planning and production continuity
- Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and follow-through
- Effective communicator internally and externally
- Experience working with overseas suppliers, international logistics, containers, and long-lead-time purchasing is highly valued
