About the Role We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be accountable for leading daily manufacturing and packaging operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and equipment. Shift & Schedule Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift Hours:• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM Weekend availability: Required Compensation Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing) - Lead and oversee daily production and packaging operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
- Coordinate weekly production schedules in partnership with Materials Management based on master scheduling and inventory policies
- Drive line efficiency by managing changeovers, clean-downs, starter room production, and overall line performance
- Monitor, analyze, and ensure accurate reporting of downtime and waste to support performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to resolve operational issues
- Ensure products meet specifications by enforcing quality standards, inspections, and employee compliance
- Identify, recommend, and implement process, equipment, and workflow improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) - High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three years of related bakery or food manufacturing experience and/or training
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production schedules, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with employees and leadership
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to train, direct, and lead employees in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work assigned shift and support operational requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) - Two or more years of experience in a commercial bakery operation
- Prior supervisory experience in food manufacturing or production environments
- Knowledge of inventory control systems and manufacturing software
- Experience supporting continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives
- Exposure to capital equipment justification or process technology improvements
