Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)Auditing Pay Differential - 2.0%above base rate of pay. (ATC and HS only)Certified Public Accountant Stipend - $750annual CPA stipend for employees who attain and maintain a valid CPA License.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Travel:A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.Background:Candidates selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening; candidates selected for law enforcement departments, public safety positions, or positions where legally required, must pass a more stringent background check.

CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATIONMust possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economicsORa bachelor's degree in another field which must include 30 semester (45 quarter) unitsof completed college coursework in accounting.(Transcripts with qualifying coursework is required if degree is in another field.)EXPERIENCEMust possess two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional-level accounting or auditing experience, of which one (1) year must be equivalent to a
Senior Accountant/Auditor with San Bernardino County.
IMPORTANT NOTES:EXPERIENCEProfessional-levelexperience is defined as occupations that require specialized knowledge usually acquired through principal work experience. Clerical/bookkeeping experience is not considered qualifying.EDUCATIONQualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
