Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls’ boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks a Summer Programs Coordinator for our 2026 summer programs. Our summer programs serve campers ages 8 to 18 for 6 weeks, from June 21, 2026 to July 31, 2026. This is a part-time, two month position, effective June 15, 2026.
Located in the Pioneer Valley, a short drive from the Five College Consortium (UMass/Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire and Amherst College), Stoneleigh-Burnham School is the only girls’ school in New England to offer the IB Diploma Programme and attracts students from the local area and around the world. Duties and Responsibilities:
● Manage camper residential planning
● Housing and meals are included - Living on campus is required for the duration of the summer program
● Take part in the planning and organization of current summer programs
● Maintain summer programs equipment inventory and report to the CFO and Director of Athletics for any program needs
● Ability to take organized and concise notes during meetings
● Collaborate with the CFO and the Director of Athletics (as needed) during pre-summer set up, training and end of summer break down
● Reside on campus when camp is present - responsible for summer camp protocols for staff and campers
● Collaborate with medical staff for safety and health management
● Train, support,and supervise residential staff during the summer programs
● Act as a liaison between the residential counselors and the CFO and Director of Athletics
● Plan and lead activities during summer programs, along with the residential Counselors
● Drive campers to weekend activities
● Other related duties as assigned
● Report to the CFO and Director of Athletics
Qualities and Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree required
● First Aid and CPR certification (will train if necessary)
● A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
● Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
● Demonstrated ability to connect with and make a positive impact on young people
● Demonstrated experience in residential activity planning and management
● Experience working at summer camps preferred but not required
● Experience in and demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion work that supports a diverse community
● The desire to work in a boarding school community and be invested in campus life
