Primary Job Duties:
1. Create designs and manage installation of inside of the building cabling structure. This includes working with facilities, vendors and other Networking team members to ensure timely completion of projects and making sure that budget constraints are met.
2. Development of SOW and bid solicitation to outside vendors for moves, adds and changes; small, medium and large projects. Management and verification for QA for all cabling infrastructure installations.
3. Works with vendors and clients to map out security camera placement. Works on making sure that camera replacements are appropriately funded from the varying internal clients. Acts as a liaison between vendor and clients and mitigates any issues.
4. Gains full understanding of industry standards for inside cabling and uses best practices for all USF projects. Researches, analyzes, evaluates and recommends emerging products for key units with university-wide impact.
5. Gains full understanding of JIRA ticketing system and helps with troubleshooting tickets and moving them to appropriate personnel.
