Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the interdependencies of data center functions and technologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of datacenter infrastructure components including, CRAC, in-row cooler, chillers, generators, power bus rail systems, UPS.
- Knowledge and understanding of data center industry standards regarding structured cabling and in-rack power.
- Must be able to independently problem-solve issues related to in-rack power, structured cabling, space management and ATC processes.
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret electrical, facility, network and other diagrams.
- Ability to lift between 5-50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in temperature-controlled datacenters.
- Ability to handle Walk Ups and Direct Messages regarding tasks.
- Must be able to balance personal workload with assisting newer team members.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Visio.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload independently.
- Strong customer service demeanor and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of internet-related technologies and protocols.
- Understanding of how to route and manage structured cabling, copper, fiber cables, and power runs.
- 3-5 years of experience of Data Center or Critical Facilities, vendor relationships and coordination of Preventative Maintenance tracking.
- Industry-related IT or Critical Facilities certifications recommended.
- Advanced understanding of alarms, alerts, and notifications from all monitoring systems.
- Solid understanding of out-of-band management configuration.
- Obtain quotes from vendors for materials related to data center services and builds.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly pay range for this position is $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
