Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, this position will lead primarily electrical and power system projects from design through execution while supporting manufacturing operations. This role offers hands‑on ownership of complex, multi‑disciplinary projects, close collaboration across teams, and the opportunity to deliver safe, high‑quality solutions on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead capital and expense projects end to end—from concept and approval through construction and startup
- Turn stakeholder needs into clear scopes, designs, schedules, and budgets leaders can act on
- Own project performance, managing cost, quality, safety, and timelines
- Coordinate closely with plant teams and contractors to deliver results with minimal disruption
- Be hands-on during commissioning, startup, and optimization to ensure solutions perform as intended
Technical Expertise You’ll Bring
- Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 12.47kV, 4.16kV, and 480V power distribution
- Working expertise in key electrical and safety standards (NEC, NFPA 70E/70B, and NESC) with a safety-first mindset
- A solid understanding of manufacturing processes that informs smart, practical engineering decisions
- A collaborative approach to solving complex challenges alongside plant teams and fellow engineers
- A passion for mentoring and supporting engineers and technical partners at the facility level

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with power distribution, project management, and equipment installation.
- Location: This position will be primarily based out of the Aiken or Columbia, SC with project management assignments and responsibilities potentially requiring some travel to other Shaw facilities.
- 4 year degree in Engineering; preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, or similar discipline.
- Must be able to work occasional project-related overtime, including periodic after-hours support.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
