Staff Accountant

Lake Mary, FL

About Us

My Client, Summit Health Partners is building a next-generation healthcare platform focused on specialty care, infusion services, and vertically integrated pharmacy solutions. We operate across multiple entities and are rapidly expanding through both organic growth and acquisitions.

We’re not a traditional accounting environment—this is a high-growth, build-as-you-go platform where finance plays a central role in scaling operations, improving performance, and supporting strategic decisions.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a high-energy Staff Accountant who wants more than a traditional back-office role. This position offers direct exposure to:

  • Multi-entity healthcare operations
  • M&A integration and scaling
  • Real-time financial decision-making
  • Building processes from the ground up

If you’re someone who wants to learn fast, take ownership, and grow quickly, this is the right environment.

What You’ll Do

Own the Numbers (Day 1 Impact)

  • Execute and improve the month-end close process across multiple entities
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules
  • Maintain accuracy across bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger activity

Build the System (Not Just Maintain It)

  • Help design and implement scalable accounting processes
  • Support the buildout of multi-entity reporting structures
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive automation and process improvements

Get Close to the Business

  • Work across:
  • Physician practices
  • MSO operations
  • Infusion and pharmacy businesses
  • Support intercompany accounting and entity structuring
  • Partner with operations to understand how the business actually makes money

Support Growth & Transactions

  • Assist with new practice integrations and acquisitions
  • Help prepare financial packages for leadership and investors
  • Contribute to building a transaction-ready finance function

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1–3+ years of experience (public accounting or fast-paced industry preferred)
  • Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals (GAAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills (you’re comfortable working with data, not just formatting it)
  • Experience with multi-entity environments is a plus

Who You Are

  • You move fast and figure things out without waiting for perfect direction
  • You’re detail-oriented but also understand the bigger picture
  • You’re comfortable in ambiguity and change
  • You want to grow quickly into a senior role
  • You take ownership—this is not a “check-the-box” job

Why This Role is Different

  • You’ll be part of building a finance function from the ground up
  • Direct exposure to leadership and strategic decision-making
  • Opportunity to grow into Senior Accountant / Finance Manager quickly
  • Work on a platform that is actively scaling through M&A and new service lines

Compensation & Upside

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus
  • High growth trajectory (role expansion tied to performance)
  • Full benefits package

Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a stable, slow-paced accounting role, this is not it.

If you want to be in the middle of a rapidly scaling healthcare platform, learn fast, and take on real responsibility early—this is a strong opportunity.
