Position Overview:
Lead a multi-categorical, self-contained classroom for Elementary, Middle or High School students with diverse special needs to support their growth and independence. The Special Education Teacher develops and implements Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support each student's academic, social, emotional, and functional goals. Provide direct differentiated instructions to support individual and small groups of students.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, Valid SC Teaching Certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education or a related field (e.g. Emotional Disabilities, Moderate Disabilities, Elementary / Middle Disabilities, or Trainable Mentally Disabled)
