Sales, engineering and business operations are located at our office in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Production of our equipment, as well as service and spare part inventory

management, takes place at our manufacturing facility in Piney Flats, Tennessee. 


Over the years JOEST has acquired a few machine brands that fit well into our equipment portfolio. Our acquisition of GOESSLING has expanded our machines to include hinge belt and magnetic conveyors in the stamping, forging and fastener industries. We recently acquired the company MOGENSEN, providing sorting and separating solutions for the mining, aggregate, food and chemical markets.


 

Job Description

As our aftersales business increases, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Spare Parts Coordinator as a new addition to our aftersales support team. This position will focus on quoting and operations with our spare parts orders. You will gain hands-on experience in the industrial manufacturing sector and corresponding supply chain, working the entire lifecycle of an order from initial inquiry to final shipment. This is also a great chance to learn about the business operations of an international company with locations all over the world. Your tasks and responsibilities in this role include:

  

· Identification: Helping to determine the correct spare part a customer is looking for. Use spare part lists, our ERP system and our technical teams both in the US and abroad for assistance.

· Costing: Helping to determine the cost of a part, whether imported from overseas or manufactured at our US facility.

· Quoting: Responding to customer requests, verifying pricing, creating a quote within our ERP system and sending the quote to the customer.

· Follow Up: Maintaining a schedule to follow up with customers who have received quotes but have not placed orders.

· Order Entry: Accurately input high volumes of incoming spare part orders via email, phone, and customer portals into our computer programs and ERP system. Assign job numbers and folders for each project. Verify customer details on each purchase order to ensure accuracy.

· Order Management: Relay information to our manufacturing facility regarding new orders to ensure the project moves along. Update orders with any changes during the life cycle of the project. Track shipments and assist to answer customer questions regarding project status.

· Project Transfer: Monitor projects as estimated delivery dates come up. Assist in transferring projects to the accounting department once an item has shipped. Work closely with the shipping and accounting departments to resolve order discrepancies or logistics challenges.

 

 

Qualifications

· Experience in inside sales with spare part orders. The ideal fit would be a candidate who has worked at a machine manufacturing company quoting parts to customers.

· Ability to multitask and handle multiple ongoing projects at once.

· Positive energy and professional demeanor in a business setting.

· Good business acumen; the ability to understand costing methods and perform sometimes complex mathematic calculations.

· Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

· Aptitude for learning and using a company’s Enterprise Resource Planning software.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and Teams.



Location

You would be working alongside our colleagues at our Glen Ellyn, Illinois office. Please note this is an in-person position working at our office each day. There is no option for remote work or working from home.
