Grand Hyatt DFW is seeking a talented, driven, and collaborative Banquet Sous Chef to support the execution of exceptional banquet and catering culinary operations. This role assists in leading the banquet kitchen team, ensuring high standards in food quality, presentation, consistency, sanitation, and efficiency for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events. The ideal candidate is a hands-on culinary leader with strong production skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to perform successfully in a high-volume luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities include:· Previous culinary leadership experience required, preferably as a Sous Chef or Jr. Sous Chef in a hotel, banquet, catering, or high-volume kitchen environment.
· Strong banquet production experience preferred.
· Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred.
· Proven knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, sanitation, and safety practices.
· Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple events and production timelines simultaneously.
· Understanding of food cost controls, product utilization, and labor efficiency.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Experience in luxury hotel or convention-style banquet operations.
· Strong background in plated service, buffet execution, and large-scale event production.
· Ability to adapt quickly to changing event needs and guest expectations.
· Passion for culinary excellence and colleague development.
· Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull moderate to heavy items.
· Ability to work safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and sharp equipment.
· Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, and kneeling.
