About the Role
The Sous Chef works in unison with the Hospitality team to execute immersive, inspiring, and unparalleled experiences for proprietors, associates, guests, and members. This role requires a person who possesses not only excellent cooking skills, but also the drive and passion to execute at the highest level and continually raise the bar for the wine and culinary industry. The Sous Chef works closely with the culinary team to develop a unified core of professionals who run a well-organized and efficient kitchen, preparing products of the highest quality and contributing to an environment where excellence and passion flourish.
Work is primarily performed in a tasting room, hospitality, or event setting, where exposure to fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures, crowds, and noise levels may occur. The role may require working a variable schedule, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evenings, with longer or irregular hours during peak seasons and special events. Employees may occasionally work outdoors during events or at offsite locations. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
About you
Strong understanding of kitchen equipment use, operation, and care, with essential knife skills and knowledge of cooking terms
Ability to work efficiently while following company standards, with or without immediate supervision
Holds required state and county sanitation certifications
California Food Handlers Certification (required)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $52,000-$70,000 per year and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our Paso Robles, Daou location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
