Job Description – Edge Solutions Architect / Engineer

Role Purpos

eResponsible for designing, validating, and deploying the Edge Reference Architecture and associated standards to enable secure, scalable OT/IT integration across plants and enterprise systems

.Key Responsibilitie

• sArchitecture & Design
• Develop ISA-95 L1–L4 reference architecture covering hosting, network segmentation, IAM, and OT/IT DMZ
• .Secure sign-off before migration begins
• .Hardware & Software Stack
• Define minimum/recommended hardware profiles, OS standards, container runtime, and software stack
• .Validate against pilot deployment and annex into rollout playbook
• .Container/K3s Deployment Standard
• Create Helm/manifest templates, K3s cluster configuration, GitOps pipeline, and image registry standards
• .Package into Edge Rollout Playbook for execution
• .Lifecycle, Security & Governance
• Author upgrade/rollback runbooks, vulnerability scanning standards, observability baseline, and patch governance
• .Execute lifecycle governance at site level

.Required Skills & Experienc

• eStrong knowledge of ISA-95 architecture and OT/IT integration
• .Hands-on experience with K3s/Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD)
• .Expertise in containerisation (Kepware, Ignition) and edge deployments
• .Familiarity with IAM, network segmentation, and OT/IT DMZ security models
• .Experience authoring technical playbooks, runbooks, and governance documentation
• .Ability to work across multi-site deployments and coordinate with stakeholders

.Preferred Qualification

• s8+ years in OT/Edge architecture or infrastructure engineering
• .Prior experience in manufacturing/industrial IoT environments
• .Knowledge of MQTT/UNS (Sparkplug B) and integration with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Kafka)
• .Strong communication skills for client-facing technical leadership
