About the role
Field service management is being reinvented — and we're building the platform that will run it autonomously. At Bursys, we're embedding AI across FieldEquip, our enterprise Field Service Management platform, to move the industry from manually coordinated operations toward the autonomous field service platform of the future: one that schedules, dispatches, predicts, and resolves with dramatically less human effort.
We're looking for a Solutions Architect to be the technical and design force behind that vision. This is a hands-on, build-focused role anchored squarely to the FieldEquip platform — not a consulting seat. You'll own solution and technical design, architect the AI-driven capabilities that make the platform smarter, integrate it with the systems our customers run on, and serve as the design authority who keeps quality high across our global delivery team.
What you'll do
• Own solution and technical design for the FieldEquip FSM platform — turning product vision and customer needs into clear, buildable architecture.
• Design and drive the AI-powered capabilities at the heart of our autonomous roadmap: intelligent scheduling and dispatch, predictive maintenance, automated workflows, and anomaly detection.
• Architect integrations between FieldEquip and the systems our customers depend on — ERP, asset/IoT data, mobile, and third-party APIs.
• Partner directly with customers to design platform extensions, configurations, and solution modifications that fit how they actually operate.
• Review and elevate the detailed designs and technical specifications produced by our India-based delivery team, raising design quality and long-term maintainability.
• Bring technical depth to pre-sales — solution demos, proofs-of-concept, and technical responses — alongside the pre-sales team.
• Feed real-world customer and field insights back into the product roadmap.
What you'll bring
• 7+ years in solutions architecture or a senior technical role building enterprise software or B2B SaaS products.
• Demonstrated ability to design both the business solution and the technical architecture — not just one.
• Strong hands-on technical foundation: software/system design, APIs and integrations, data modeling, and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure).
• Proven customer-facing experience translating requirements into delivered solutions and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing or directing the work of distributed/offshore development or design teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication — fluent in both a customer's business language and an engineer's technical one.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Bonus points
• Hands-on experience designing or delivering AI/ML capabilities — intelligent automation, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, or AI-assisted decisioning. Familiarity with modern AI tooling and LLM-based solutions is a strong plus.
• Domain experience in Field Service Management, asset tracking, rental operations, or enterprise workflow automation.
• Working proficiency in Hindi, given regular collaboration with our India-based design and delivery team.
• Cloud or AI certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS AI Practitioner, or equivalent).
• Pre-sales or sales-engineering experience in a SaaS environment.
• Experience thriving in a smaller, fast-moving company where ownership and breadth matter.
