Software Development Manager

trak group is partnering with a growing organization in Cincinnati, OH to find a Software Development Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically strong manager who can bridge development, IT support, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. You'll lead a team of developers, own the delivery of core systems, and play a key role in driving technology decisions that support business growth.

Position Details:

• Location: Cincinnati, OH, 100% On-Site
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Compensation: $100,000–$125,000/year plus comprehensive benefits

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, delegating tasks in line with skills and experience
• Oversee reliable delivery and performance of core systems to business standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project schedules, milestones, and priorities
• Review and approve all final programs and products before launch
• Design and evaluate applications and systems to identify efficiencies and improvements
• Configure and maintain Magento integrations across business intelligence, order management, accounting, and fulfillment systems
• Serve as the technical liaison between internal departments, partners, and key users
• Ensure software security through active monitoring programs
• Research and implement emerging technologies, techniques, and best practices
• Report project milestones and short-term goals to senior leadership

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing software applications
• Proficiency in SQL, PHP, CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript (jQuery) including mobile and responsive design
• Experience managing large-scale software projects
• Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development including server-side scripting
• Microsoft Dynamics ERP experience preferred
• Collaborative, proactive communicator comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
