POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Senior Snowflake Platform Architect with 11 to 14 years of advanced enterprise data infrastructure experience to join our team in a hybrid capacity out of Chicago. In this strategic and hands-on architecture role, you will be responsible for designing, securing, and optimizing our enterprise-wide Snowflake data platforms. Acting as the technical authority, you will translate complex financial business requirements into highly performant, secure, and cost-efficient data patterns, while establishing governance standards and mentoring engineering teams on elite development practices.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement robust, enterprise-grade Snowflake data architectures that support scalable analytics and business intelligence across multiple banking domains.
Author and engineer sophisticated Snowflake SQL solutions, optimizing query performance profiles to drastically reduce compute costs and maximize analytical throughput.
Partner with product stakeholders to convert raw operational requirements into structural, well-modeled, and reusable data components within the Snowflake ecosystem.
Refine ingestion data pipelines by tailoring custom partitioning strategies, search optimization services, and clustering keys for high-volume datasets.
Establish secure, governance-compliant access infrastructure by designing Snowflake role hierarchies, network policies, and encrypted data sharing interfaces.
Architect proactive monitoring models to track real-time query behavior, storage consumption growth, and compute workload patterns to mitigate capacity risks.
Create and curate centralized technical playbooks, design standards, and reference implementations to accelerate agile data initiatives across engineering teams.
Provide escalation-level technical support during incident management, conducting root-cause analysis on complex platform queries or cluster configuration anomalies.
