Overview
Plant Services Carpenter performs general carpentry assignments such as, but not limited to:
- repair/replacement of doors and walls
- installation of ceilings and replacement of tiles
- fire caulking penetrations
- railing repairs
- flooring projects
- install/replacement of stair treads
- window repairs
- locksmith services
- installation of LKM & CDX locking devices
- installation of shelving
- repair/replacement of bathroom partitions
- hanging of Christmas wreaths, pictures, banners, white boards, bulleting/cork boards
- AED medical heart devices
- signs
- cutting of tree limbs with a chain saw
- demolition and renovation projects
- working with sketches and drawings and carpentry related preps for Christening ceremonies.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED or 2 years of related technical experience
- 5+ years of carpentry experience
Preferred:
- 1+ years of commercial construction experience

- Experience in operating power shop tools to include; table saws, drill press, jointer, planner, radial alarm saw, etc.
- Capable of reading and interpreting blue print drawings.
- Knowledge of Carpentry and related building codes.
- Willingness to work daily and weekend overtime in support of special projects.
- Knowledge of flooring project installations’.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Locksmith service knowledge.
