The Executive Leadership team is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations across, Excavation, Trench Work, Earth Hauling, Grading, Utility and Site Development. Serving Commercial, Residential and Industrial markets with projects up to $50m+. You'll be an onsite leader responsible for planning, coordinating and executing projects from inception to close.


Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations across earthwork and site development projects, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and schedule milestones are achieved.
  • Supervise and coordinate craft labor, equipment, and subcontractors across active job sites.
  • Oversee mass grading, excavation, utilities installation, and site preparation programs between $5M - $50M+.
  • Own jobsite safety by enforcing company standards and OSHA compliance, leading safety meetings and conducting JHAs.
  • Track daily production and communicate progress, risks, and constraints to project leadership.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and documentation.
  • Support RFIs, inspections, and quality control processes including compaction and grading verification.
  • Build high-performing crews through leadership, accountability, and strong communication.
  • Mentor and develop field personnel, supporting long-term team growth.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with a strong focus on site development.
  • Proven experience delivering projects in the $3M – $30M range.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling fundamentals, sequencing, and production planning.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated safety leadership (OSHA, JHAs, site enforcement).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build high-performing teams.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
