About the Role

The Simulation Lab Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of NSU’s simulation labs. This position ensures that simulation environments are fully operational, technologically sound, and ready to support high-quality, faculty-led education and training. You’ll be at the center of hands-on learning—coordinating equipment, managing simulation technologies, and ensuring seamless lab operations that directly impact student success.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure simulation labs and equipment are fully operational and ready for instruction
• Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot high-fidelity simulation equipment
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of simulation activities, including mannequins and task trainers
• Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment lifecycle maintenance
• Support faculty during simulation sessions with technical and operational expertise
• Track simulation data, maintain records, and support accreditation compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for repairs and system improvements
• Assist in implementing simulation technologies and standardizing operational procedures

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2–4 years of experience in a simulation-based learning environment
• Strong technical troubleshooting and operational coordination skills
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication

Preferred:

• Healthcare-related degree or clinical background
• CHSOS certification
• Experience with high-fidelity simulation systems and immersive technologies
• Familiarity with accreditation standards (SSH, CCNE, AAMC)
