Job Title: Shop Helper/Fiberglass Helper

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for various utility duties around the shop, including cleaning, working in shipping and receiving, and occasional driving when the full-time driver is unavailable. The candidate must have an enthusiastic personality and a willingness to work overtime. They will assist fiberglass technicians with repairs and fabrication both in the shop and in the field. This includes cutting materials, mixing resin, and supporting fabricators during the hand-laying of fiberglass materials. Additionally, the candidate will perform a variety of general shop tasks, including blasting, painting, forklift operation, and maintaining overall organization of the workspace. Flexibility and a willingness to take on any tasks necessary to support production and shop operations are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform utility duties around the shop, including cleaning and working in shipping and receiving.
• Drive occasionally when the full-time driver is unavailable.
• Assist fiberglass technicians with repairs and fabrication in the shop and field.
• Cut materials and mix resin to support fabricators during hand-laying of fiberglass materials.
• Engage in general shop tasks such as blasting, painting, forklift operation.
• Maintain the organization of the workspace and adhere to safety regulations.
• Assist the fabricator with fabrication and repair projects.
• Maintain housekeeping at the end of the day or project.
• Report any unsafe conditions to the manager.
• Assist lead with cutting, prepping, stacking, and organizing for fabrication.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in grinding and general production tasks.
• Experience in fabrication and working with fiberglass.
• Ability to operate a forklift and use cutting tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of safety regulations, company policies, and guidelines.

The role is set in a manufacturing environment where safety and organization are priorities. Employees are expected to adhere to company policies and guidelines, and maintain a clean and efficient workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Santa Fe Springs,CA.
