Perfect Communications is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Clerk to manage the daily outbound shipping operations for our organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in shipping procedures and package transport regulations. While this role encompasses both shipping and receiving functions, the primary emphasis is on outbound shipping operations.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all shipments comply with domestic and international regulations.
  • Apply knowledge ofdimensional weight (DIM)calculations and carrier-specific packaging standards to minimize shipping costs and ensure the safe transit of printed materials.
  • Documentation and processing of shipping claims for lost, stolen, or damaged goods through carrier portals.
  • Manage daily carrier pick-up schedules and ensure all outgoing freight meets strict carrier cut-off times for on-time delivery.
  • UtilizeUPS WorldShipandFedEx Ship Managerto process shipments, generate labels, and track outgoing orders.
  • Process and package all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently using proper and secure packing techniques
  • Import and enter shipping data into the company MIS system to create and track shipments
  • Work with IT department to maintain and update shipping software
  • Monitors shipping supply inventory and orders supplies based on established reorder levels
  • Coordinates delivery trucks in and out of shipping bays
  • Receive and verify inbound packages
  • Move incoming shipments to appropriate inventory holding area
  • Handle customer service inquiries related to inbound and outbound packages
  • Distribute packages throughout the facility
  • Assist with other shop functions as production needs require
  • Periodically make deliveries using company supplied vehicle
  • Use company supplied vehicles for transporting goods between company facilities
  • Maintain clean and organized work area

What You Bring

  • Ability to import and manipulate Excel or CSV files into a company MIS system for the purpose of creating and managing shipments
  • Demonstrated understanding ofFedEx and UPS service levels(e.g., Ground, Express, Freight) and the associated documentation required for each.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook or Gmail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Solid customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy packages
  • Valid driver's license
  • 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume shipping environment, with a strong preference for candidates familiar withprint and mail operations.
  • Ability to accurately verify weight, dimensions, and shipping addresses to prevent costly delivery errors.
