Job Title: Shipper
Job Description

The Shipper supports daily warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role uses pallet jacks and scan guns to move and track products, verifies orders against documentation, and ensures all items are securely packaged and palletized for safe transport. The position runs Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently according to order forms and pick lists.
  • Box, package, shrink wrap, and palletize orders to ensure they are secure and ready for shipment.
  • Use a pallet jack to move materials and completed pallets safely throughout the warehouse.
  • Operate a scan gun or RF scanner to track inventory and confirm items during picking and packing.
  • Verify picked items against order forms to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with general shipping and receiving tasks as needed, including loading and unloading materials.
  • Handle large orders and general labor tasks such as material handling, order pulling, and staging shipments.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in the warehouse.
  • Follow all warehouse procedures and safety guidelines while performing daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate any order discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with shipping tasks in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to use a pallet jack safely and effectively.
  • Ability to use a scan gun or RF scanner to pick and verify orders.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and verification.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read and write in English to follow written instructions and complete basic documentation.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Consistently positive, hard‑working attitude and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ months of experience in a warehouse performing shipping, receiving, inventory, or stocking duties.
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Experience working with very large orders and high-volume order fulfillment.
  • Background in general labor, material handling, loading, and unloading.
  • Experience with order picking, order pulling, and staging shipments.
  • Hands-on experience with picking, packing, packaging, and palletizing orders.
  • Familiarity with warehouse environments and processes.
  • Experience operating a forklift (if certified) and other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience using RF scanners, barcode scanners, and related technology.
  • Knowledge of shipping systems such as WorldShip or similar tools.

Work Environment

You work in a brand-new, air-conditioned warehouse designed for comfort and efficiency. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. You regularly use equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, scan guns, and standard warehouse tools and systems. The environment focuses on safety, organization, and teamwork, with clear procedures to support smooth shipping and receiving operations. Attire is typical for a warehouse setting, emphasizing practicality and safety while performing physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
