We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be a key part of our operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, products, and information across departments. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production, and delivering excellent service to both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process all incoming materials, supplies, and customer returns with accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare products for shipment using standard and specialized packaging methods to ensure safe delivery
- Coordinate the movement of materials to appropriate departments and personnel
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding damaged goods, shortages, or nonconforming materials
- Notify manufacturing teams of incoming materials to support production timelines
- Determine optimal shipping methods based on procedures, routes, and cost efficiency
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping orders, using both manual and automated systems
- Schedule pickups and coordinate shipments with carriers via phone and online platforms
- Accurately record shipment data (e.g., weight, charges, space utilization) for reporting and accounting purposes
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records for all receiving and shipping activities
- Coordinate international returns, including shipments to Germany for credit or repair
