OVERVIEW OF LA VETTA

La Vetta, a new Italian dining destination from Southern Cross Hospitality, is seeking passionate hospitality professionals to join the team as we prepare to open this spring in downtown Savannah. The kitchen is led by a chef who earned a star in the Michelin Guide Italy 2023. The dining experience will be intentional, intimate, and consistent. To support this, we are building a team that is polished without being stiff, and precise without losing warmth. From the kitchen to the dining room and bar, every team member plays a vital role for our guests.


OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE 

You guide guests through a paced Italian dining experience with warmth and control. You know the menu, read the room, and execute clean timing so the table feels cared for without interruption.


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Deliver confident menu guidance across food, cocktails, and wine with accuracy
  • Maintain table presence through pacing, refills, resets, and silent anticipation
  • Communicate clearly with captains, support staff, kitchen, and bar
  • Protect standards for language, posture, uniform, and station organization
  • Handle guest concerns with calm judgment and immediate follow through

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in elevated dining preferred
  • Strong hospitality language and ability to read guests
  • Coachable, team first, and consistent under pressure
  • Food Handler’s Certification or the ability to obtain in accordance with federal, state, or local regulations and/or Company policy. Certification for responsible alcohol service or ability to obtain within 6 months.
