Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Staff Accountant located in Baltimore, MD. The Senior Staff Accountant will oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. Key responsibilities include reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, monitoring grant funding and allocations, and supporting audits. This role is critical to sustaining the financial health and transparency of BRHP’s operations while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP standards
  • Experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and overseeing grant funding
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting practices and financial management is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • 2-5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the nonprofit or public sector
