Job Summary:

Lead and facilitate the implementation of global and site-specific quality initiatives for continuous improvement. Responsible for quality engineering activities including material disposition, internal/external concern management, metrology management, etc. Lead/coach and facilitate problem solving, analysis of data, and continual improvement activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze, and provide solutions for quality related problems and opportunities.
  • Technical quality liaison between the customer and site manufacturing process.
  • Responsible for customer concern management and corrective action request process.
  • Responsible for and/or participate in material review board activities.
  • Represent quality assurance team in advanced product quality planning process and control plan development.
  • Participate in the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Process Sign-off (PSO), and other customer specific requirements.
  • Participate in customer/internal change requests.
  • Lead, coach, and develop quality assurance team members.
  • Participate in layered audit process.
  • Knowledge of and participation in IATF internal / external audits.
  • Enters Kronos system and updates accordingly, including vacation, sick days, etc.
  • Updates and completes XXXX as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in industrial/manufacturing or mechanical engineering, a Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Possess 1 to 5 years of experience/exposure in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excel in quality system development, automotive quality systems/technical specification.
  • Must possess management system auditing, problem solving skills, and experience in customer concern management.
