Senior Purchasing Manager (Fortune 500 Manufacturing)

We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a senior level Purchasing Manager due to a recently announced promotion. The Senior Purchasing Manager will report directly to the VP/General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!

****This is a campus/plant based position (i.e. 5 days in office). No remote/hybrid options ***

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Candidate will report to the company VP/General Manager while managing (4) direct reports
• Complete financial/budgetary ownership of department
• Candidate will be responsible for annual indirect contracts of ~ $50M.
• Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
• Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, and reliability.
• Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
• Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent.
• Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration
• Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of purchasing leadership experience
• Subject matter expertise in Purchasing and Supply Chain systems.
• Plant based/manufacturing experience is highly preferred (i.e. CapEx, Tooling, etc..)
