TurfBase

TurfBase is SGL’s next-generation software platform for turf intelligence. TurfBase brings together drone data, geospatial analytics, IoT sensors, robotics, and cloud-based software into a unified system that helps teams monitor, analyze, and optimize turf performance at scale. From our office in Cranberry Township / Wexford, Pennsylvania area we are working on our platform with a very ambitious team.

The position

As a Senior Product Designer (UI/UX) you will help shape the user experience across SGL's digital platforms. In this role, you will translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive, modern user experiences that help customers better understand and manage turf performance.

You will work closely with engineering, product teams, internal stakeholders, and customers to understand real-world workflows and design thoughtful solutions. You will often work on loosely defined problems, helping translate complex technical capabilities into clear product experiences and contributing to how the platform evolves.

You will also help the team move quickly from concept to prototype to shipped product, using customer feedback, strong design judgment, and close collaboration with engineering.

The position requires on-site collaboration five days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design and improve user experiences across SGL's digital platforms
• Translate complex data and workflows into intuitive dashboards and product interfaces
• Design new product features from concept through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Refine and modernize existing workflows across dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics features
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented with high quality
• Work with internal stakeholders and customers to understand workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain a scalable design system
• Help define and evolve a shared visual and UX language across SGL's digital products over time
• Ensure designs work across devices including desktop, mobile, and large display environments
• Use modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows where helpful, to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, and iteration

You enjoy simplifying complex problems, collaborating with technical teams, and designing interfaces that feel clean, modern, and intuitive.

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in UX/UI or product design
• Experience designing SaaS applications or workflow-driven software platforms
• Strong experience with design tools such as Figma including components, design systems, and prototyping
• Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles
• A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful solutions for complex user interfaces
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain design decisions
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams

Preferred skills

• Experience designing analytics platforms or data visualization tools
• Familiarity with geospatial or map-based interfaces
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React, React Native, or Flutter
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate design and prototyping workflows
• Familiarity with design systems such as Material Design
• Startup or early-stage product experience
