Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily office operations, ensuring efficient communication, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in various software applications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and follow up with clients with clear communication. Legal experience and legal document drafting and revision is required.


Duties


Candidate must be a self-starter and possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Adapt quickly to Document Management and Filing Systems.

Handle client inquiries with professionalism.

Operate phone system to facilitate smooth communication between staff and clients.

Perform data entry tasks accurately and maintain status updates for each client on a daily basis.

Assist with filing, opening and closing files, organizing documents to ensure easy access to information. Scanning Documents to DMS. Importing Documents through Client Portals and Electronic Court Filings.

Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Utilize billing software tasks as needed.

Maintain calendars for scheduling appointments and meetings efficiently.

Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution.

Support administrative functions including typing correspondence, memos, and keeping track of time.

Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while handling calls from clients and vendors.

Collaborate with team members on various projects to enhance office management processes.

Proficiency in typing correspondence with basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite a must and Excel is helpful. Knowledge of MyCase as Plus.

Legal document drafting

Organize and tracking billing to insurance company

Requirements


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,) and Google Workspace applications.

Experience with MyCase is a plus but not mandatory.

Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information.

EXPERIENCE IN EITHER OR BOTH : MATRIMONIAL AND ESTATES/PROBATE PROCEEDINGS and REAL ESTATE: RESIDENTIAL.

Full-time position – 35-40 hours per week
