Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer for a growing manufacturing corporation in the Carrollton area. The Mechanical Engineer will support product design, development and manufacturing efforts for precision assemblies and sheet metal-based products. This role requires strong CAD skills, practical engineering judgment and the ability to take designs from concept through production.

This is a DIRECT HIRE and an IN-OFFICE position.

Company will assist with some relocation for the right candidate!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs
• Develop products from initial concept through production release
• Work with sheet metal, plastic & Machined parts and fabricated assemblies
• Support prototyping, testing and design validation activities
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to improve designs and resolve production issues
• Perform tolerance analysis and design reviews
• Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for field or production issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
• Experience with sheet metal and manufacturing processes
• Understanding of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards
• Experience in designing for manufacturability and assembly
• Hands-on prototyping or manufacturing experience preferred
• Familiarity with fabrication or production environments preferred
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
