As a Senior Mechanical Designer (MCAD), you’ll play a key role in supporting new product development, working alongside engineers to deliver fully detailed, manufacturable designs across complex electromechanical systems.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Mechanical Designer (MCAD):
- Creating detailed 3D models and assemblies using Creo / Windchill
- Producing fully annotated manufacturing drawings with GD&T (ASME standards)
- Performing tolerance stack-ups to validate fit and function
- Supporting PDR / CDR design reviews with engineering teams
- Managing and updating design documentation (ECNs / AECNs)
- Developing and maintaining standard part libraries for reuse
- Working closely with engineers to evaluate and improve design feasibility
- Supporting design for manufacture across machining processes (CNC, sheet metal, etc.)
The ideal Senior Mechanical Designer (MCAD) will bring:
- 3+ years’ experience as an electro-mechanical / CAD designer
- Strong experience with PTC Creo (4.0+) and Windchill (12.0)
- GD&T, fits, tolerances, and materials selection
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, drilling, tapping
- Experience with electromechanical packaging / assemblies is a plus
- Exposure to fluid components (seals, bearings) is a plus
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- US Citizen (required)
Compensation : up to 110k (DOE)
Location: Whippany (On-site) , Flexibility for Contractors
Direct hire (full time) + W2 contract options available
