Senior Revit Designer

Advanced Giga Inc

About AGI

Advanced Giga Inc. designs, fabricates, and deploys modular data center infrastructure for hyperscale operators. Our flagship products, the MDH (Modular Data Hall), MTCS (Modular Technology Cooling System), and MES (Modular Energy Server) - are factory-built, tested, and commissioned before they ever leave our facility. We are not a general contractor. We are an engineering-led manufacturer that owns the full lifecycle: design, fabrication, controls integration, factory acceptance testing, delivery, and on-site commissioning. Our clients include the largest cloud infrastructure providers in the world.

We are a small, high-impact team where your decisions directly shape outcomes on programs worth tens of millions of dollars. If you have spent your career inside large organizations and are looking for a place where your experience actually gets used - not diluted across layers of bureaucracy - this is it.

The Role

AGI is hiring a Senior Revit Piping/Mechanical Designer to own the 3D design and modeling of our modular infrastructure products from concept through fabrication-ready documentation. This is not a drafting role. You will be the primary Revit authority - building and maintaining LOD 500 models that drive procurement, fabrication, quality control, and commissioning. Your models are the single source of truth that the shop builds from.

While piping and mechanical are your home base, AGI operates as a small team where everyone contributes across discipline boundaries. You will model structural steel, architectural enclosures, electrical routing, and controls infrastructure when the project demands it. The right person for this role is someone who sees Revit as a production tool - not just a design tool - and is comfortable working at the intersection of engineering, fabrication, and automation. If you have ever wished your company would just let you build it right, this is that job.

What You Will Actually Do

• Develop and maintain LOD 500 Revit models of modular data center infrastructure - piping systems, mechanical equipment, structural framing, and supporting disciplines - to fabrication-ready detail

• Design complex piping systems (process cooling, chilled water, condensate, glycol) including pipe routing, valve placement, instrumentation, supports/hangers, and isometric documentation

• Model mechanical equipment layouts with accurate connection points, clearances, service access, and rigging/lifting considerations

• Work with Fabrication Parts (MEP Fab Parts) in Revit - placing fab-ready content from the fabrication database, ensuring correct services, sizes, and connector compatibility

• Build and maintain Revit families - parametric equipment families, custom annotations, shared parameter schemas, and nested family structures that support both design and data extraction

• Create and manage shared parameters for weight tracking, material specification, fabrication status, and downstream data exchange with procurement and shop floor systems

• Model across disciplines as needed - structural steel (HSS, angles, base plates, grating), architectural enclosures (wall panels, doors, penetrations), electrical routing (cable tray, conduit, panel locations), and controls infrastructure (sensors, junction boxes, instrument tubing)

• Produce fabrication-ready deliverables - isometric drawings, BOQs, cut lists, spool drawings, and general arrangement drawings extracted directly from the model

• Coordinate with external engineering consultants by managing linked models, establishing shared coordinates, and resolving cross-discipline conflicts

• Develop Dynamo scripts and automation workflows to eliminate repetitive tasks - parameter population, view creation, schedule generation, export routines, and data validation

• Export models to Navisworks for coordination review, weight/COG analysis, and client deliverables

• Support pipe stress analysis workflows by providing accurate routing geometry, material properties, and connection details to stress engineers

• Manage and direct other designers/drafters when project volume requires additional modeling support - set standards, review work, allocate scope

Who You Are

• 8+ years of Revit experience with at least 5 years focused on piping/mechanical systems at LOD 400-500 detail level

• Deep understanding of MEP systems - you know how piping systems actually work, not just how to draw them. You understand flow, pressure, thermal expansion, slope, drainage, and how design decisions affect fabrication and installation

• Experience building custom Revit families from scratch - parametric modeling, nested families, shared parameters, type catalogs, and family performance optimization

• Proficiency with Fabrication Parts in Revit - placing content, understanding service configurations, managing connectors and sizes, and working with fabrication-ready detail

• Ability to model across disciplines - structural steel, architectural elements, electrical systems, and controls infrastructure. You do not need to be a licensed engineer in each discipline, but you need to be able to produce accurate geometry from engineering inputs

• Experience producing fabrication-ready documentation - piping isometrics, BOQs, spool packages, arrangement drawings, and schedules that the shop can build from without interpretation

• Strong Dynamo skills for automation - parameter management, view/sheet creation, data import/export, geometry manipulation, and batch operations

• Ability to manage linked models, worksets, design options, and multi-discipline coordination workflows in Revit

• Experience directing other designers/drafters - reviewing work, setting modeling standards, allocating scope, and maintaining model quality across a team

• Self-directed work style - you take a P&ID and engineering calcs and produce a routed, detailed model without needing someone to hand-hold the process

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with Autodesk Fabrication products (CADmep, ESTmep) - understanding database structure, services, and how Fab Parts flow between Fabrication and Revit

• Navisworks coordination experience - clash detection, federated model management, and resolution workflows

• Experience with pyRevit or C# plugin development for Revit automation beyond Dynamo

• Background in modular construction, prefabrication, or manufacturing-oriented design (as opposed to traditional AEC field construction)

• Experience with data center mechanical systems - precision cooling, hot/cold aisle containment, high-density power distribution, and related infrastructure

• Familiarity with pipe stress analysis concepts and ability to interface with stress engineering tools (Caesar II, AutoPIPE, or similar)

• Experience integrating Revit data with external systems - Excel-based BOQs, ERP/procurement systems, or custom data pipelines

• Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for cloud worksharing and model management

What We Offer

• Base salary: $120,000 - $160,000

• Performance bonus tied to program delivery milestones

• Direct impact on a high-growth company at the intersection of manufacturing and critical infrastructure

• Ownership of your domain - you set the modeling standards, you build the content library, you drive the design process

• A technical leadership team that speaks your language (engineering-led company, not sales-led)

• Access to the latest Revit versions, hardware, and automation tools - we invest in the platform because the model IS the product

• The chance to build something from a formative stage - this is not a mature 500-person organization with established playbooks. We are building those playbooks, and the right person will help write them
