Senior Marketing Manager – Oncology (Solid Tumors)

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract

Travel: Up to 25%

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager – Oncology (Solid Tumors) to support the development and execution of U.S. marketing strategies for targeted oncology therapies, including IDH inhibitor brands.

This role will drive brand strategy, digital marketing execution, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring impactful engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Planning

  • Support development of U.S. brand strategy and annual marketing plans
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies, KPIs, and resource allocation
  • Leverage market research, competitive intelligence, and customer insights
  • Drive strategic initiatives aligned with brand growth objectives

Marketing Execution (Digital & Omnichannel)

  • Lead digital campaigns: websites, email, paid media, banners, and omnichannel initiatives
  • Manage HCP media plans, vendors, and agency partners
  • Develop high-quality, compliant promotional content
  • Track, analyze, and optimize campaign performance using analytics tools
  • Represent marketing team at medical congresses (booth, content, training, insights)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR, Regulatory, and Legal teams
  • Work with analytics, IT, and digital teams for campaign execution and performance tracking
  • Support Promotional Review Committee (PRC) for compliant material approvals

Leadership & Influence

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization
  • Present insights and performance updates to senior leadership
  • Influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing (with 2+ years in marketing roles)
  • Strong experience in oncology / solid tumors / rare disease (preferred)
  • Proven success in digital & omnichannel campaign execution
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and multiple projects
  • Strong understanding of pharma compliance, regulatory, and promotional guidelines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IDH inhibitors / oncology brands
  • Familiarity with tools like Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault PromoMats
  • Experience supporting product launches or brand expansions
  • Strong analytics and KPI-driven decision-making
