Senior Process Engineer – Coatings

This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and sustaining coating and paint processes for plastic and/or optical components in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The engineer will own hard‑coat and paint process development, support production, and drive continuous improvement while working closely with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize hard‑coat and paint processes for plastics
• Own coating process requirements, documentation, and work instructions
• Troubleshoot coating, fluid, and equipment issues to improve quality and yield
• Drive process improvements to reduce scrap, downtime, and variability
• Track and analyze KPIs, OEE, and process metrics
• Collaborate with suppliers on materials, fluids, and coating technologies
• Support new product introductions and process transitions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong coatings or paint background
• Experience with plastics, optics, or automotive lighting preferred
• Hands-on process development and continuous improvement experience
