About the role
Join a manufacturing engineering team supporting machining and metal fabrication processes within a production environment. This role focuses on developing manufacturing methods, improving machining processes, and supporting production planning activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in machining operations, blueprint interpretation, and manufacturing process development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing methods, processes, and equipment requirements for metal fabricated components
- Improve machining processes and support reverse engineering efforts
- Support quoting and estimating for new manufacturing jobs
- Develop production planning processes and documentation
- Create planning documents including tooling, fixtures, and inspection sheets
- Support troubleshooting of production and machining issues
- Collaborate with CAD programmers and shop floor personnel
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline manufacturing operations
- Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Ensure production readiness and process reliability
- Support process optimization and manufacturing efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (Required)
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience supporting machining or metal fabrication processes
- Strong blueprint reading and drawing interpretation skills
- Experience working with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience creating work orders and production sketches
- Experience supporting manufacturing troubleshooting activities
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting CNC machining environments
- Experience supporting reverse engineering activities
- Experience supporting project management activities
- Experience supporting tooling and fixture design
- Experience working with CAD programming teams
- Experience supporting metal fabrication production operations
Compensation
- Estimated hourly range: $60–$75/hr (W-2)
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
- Work Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Work Location: 100% Onsite
- Contract Duration: Through End of 2026
