ROLE SUMMARY


The Manager of Growth will own the performance of our DTC channel — from website conversion and subscription mechanics to lifecycle email, automated flows, retention, and respective media channels. They will manage our agency partners (media and web dev) for execution, while owning the strategy and roadmap.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


DTC Website & Conversion

  • Lead the DTC website renovation in collaboration with media partners — prioritizing homepage, subscription flow, and top product pages
  • Own the DTC conversion rate, subscriber growth, and churn rate as primary KPIs
  • Define and maintain a continuous testing roadmap (A/B tests on landing pages, checkout flow, subscription offers)
  • Partner with appropriate external partners on website development and internal creative team on ad creative, site, and landing page alignment


Shopify Tech Stack & CRM

  • Lead Shopify tech stack simplification— reduce complexity, remove unused apps, and ensure clean data flow, improve conversion, and abandonment
  • Own CRM strategy including audience segmentation, list hygiene, and integration with Shopify
  • Ensure Klaviyo is properly segmented to support lifecycle email program


Lifecycle Email & Automated Flows

  • Lead Klaviyo/email program reset — audit existing flows and rebuild from priority up
  • Own the four core automated flows as first deliverables: Welcome Series, Abandon Cart, Post-Purchase, and Winback
  • Set email cadence, segmentation strategy, and campaign calendar
  • Partner with internal copy resource and agency for email creative
  • Track email contribution to revenue weekly; report to CMO dashboard


Paid Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Own DTC paid social and performance marketing strategy once onboarded (Tinuiti manages upper funnel in interim)
  • Brief and manage new DTC ad creative with Creative Director ahead of Prime Day
  • Define attribution model and ensure DTC performance is accurately tracked in CMO dashboard


Analytics & Reporting

  • Partner with data team to ensure DTC metrics are accurately captured in the performance dashboard
  • Own weekly DTC performance reporting to CMO: subs, churn, revenue, email contribution, CVR


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in DTC growth, lifecycle marketing, or e-commerce marketing roles
  • Hands-on Klaviyo experience required — email segmentation, flow building, and CRM strategy
  • Shopify experience required — familiarity with app ecosystem, subscription mechanics (Recharge or similar), and Shopify/Klaviyo integration
  • Proven track record of building DTC channels with measurable results
  • Experience managing agency relationships and directing external partners on execution
  • Analytical — comfortable in Google Analytics, data dashboards, and building a business case from data, with a strong curiosity to integrate into AI
  • Ability to execute independently while managing multiple simultaneous workstreams
  • Bachelor's degree required


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in consumer good and subscription DTC brands
  • Familiarity with Amazon as a channel (not required, but helpful for cross-channel coordination)
  • Experience with A/B testing tools and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Prior experience building out a growth function from scratch


SUCCESS IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS

  • Shopify/Klaviyo audit complete and simplification plan agreed with web dev by Week 5
  • 4 core email flows live and sending by Week 8
  • DTC subscription growing faster than arrival rate — month-over-month subscriber growth by Day 90
  • New DTC ad creative briefed and live before Prime Day
  • Dashboard reflects accurate DTC metrics from Week 6 onward
  • AI connectors across critical platforms completed
