Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
A large publicly traded organization seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to join its corporate accounting team.
This role will play a key part in external reporting, technical accounting research, and ensuring compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements within a complex business environment. The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, strategic transactions, and high-impact accounting initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
- Support the review of consolidated financial statements and external reporting deliverables
- Research and analyze complex accounting issues and business transactions
- Prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting accounting conclusions
- Monitor evolving FASB and SEC guidance and assess impact on the organization
- Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams on new initiatives and transactions
- Coordinate with external auditors and advisors on technical accounting matters
- Participate in special projects and strategic corporate initiatives
- Support compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience with SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP research
- Ability to communicate complex accounting matters to various stakeholders
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Exposure to Oracle or similar systems is a plus
