Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Grapevine, TX (Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced attorney to provide legal support across a broad range of commercial, regulatory, compliance, and business matters within the logistics and transportation industry.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, vendor, transportation, warehousing, and commercial agreements
• Advise business leaders on legal, regulatory, compliance, and risk management matters
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters
• Support corporate governance activities and entity management
• Partner with Human Resources on employment-related matters
• Provide legal support to stakeholders across North America and global operations
• Develop practical legal solutions that support business objectives
• Ensure compliance with transportation, trade, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active law license and member in good standing
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience
• Minimum 5 years of in-house counsel experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience within the logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain, or warehousing industry
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Strong compliance and regulatory experience
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while partnering effectively with business leaders
Preferred Experience:
• Transportation and logistics regulatory compliance
• FMC regulations and compliance
• Global trade compliance, customs, import/export regulations, sanctions, and export controls
• FCPA, anti-bribery, and anti-corruption compliance
• GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy compliance
• OCC compliance experience is a plus
• Prior leadership or management experience
