About the Opportunity

A design-led, internationally recognised landscape architecture practice is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join its New York studio. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role within a collaborative environment, contributing to high-profile urban, public realm, and infrastructure projects across the U.S. and internationally.


Position Overview

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of complex projects while supporting studio leadership and growth. You’ll manage teams, oversee technical quality, and act as a key interface with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders.


What You’ll Be Doing

Project Leadership & Delivery

Lead projects through all design and construction phases

Oversee design quality, technical documentation, and project outcomes


Project & Client Management

Manage client relationships and act as a primary point of contact

Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants and project stakeholders


Studio Leadership

Support studio operations, mentoring, and team development

Contribute to recruitment, business development, and strategic initiatives


Design Oversight & Collaboration

Participate in design reviews, critiques, and project kick-offs

Provide guidance and peer review across project teams, including international work


What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in landscape architecture or related practice
  • Proven track record leading projects from concept through delivery
  • Strong design, technical, and project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


Qualifications

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field
  • Professional licensure in New York State (or ability to obtain)
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with 3D modelling tools (e.g. Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Revit/BIM beneficial
  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience delivering civic or infrastructure projects, particularly in NYC
  • Familiarity working with public agencies and large-scale clients
  • International project exposure (e.g. Middle East, Asia)
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, materials, and planting design
  • Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams
