Senior Key Account Manager (Midwest)

Location: Midwest Region (Remote) – Findlay, OH preferred

Job Description: 

Werk-Brau is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to lead strategic growth across the Midwest region. This role is responsible for developing and expanding high-value customer and dealer/distributor relationships, executing strategic account plans, and driving revenue and margin growth through consultative selling and long-term partnership development. The ideal candidate excels at relationship building, strategic account management, and establishing high-value business relationships that drive measurable growth. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Own and execute strategic account plans for assigned key/major accounts across the Midwest territory. 
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with customer decision-makers to position Werk-Brau as a preferred long-term partner. 
  • Manage and grow dealer/distributor relationships, including joint business planning, pipeline development, training, and performance reviews. 
  • Identify, develop, and close growth opportunities within existing accounts and dealer networks (new applications, expanded product adoption, new locations, and competitive conversions). 
  • Partner with internal teams (sales leadership, customer service, operations, engineering, and marketing) to ensure alignment, responsiveness, and strong customer outcomes. 
  • Lead quarterly/annual business reviews with key accounts and dealers, including performance metrics, forecasts, and action plans. 
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline and forecasting practices; keep CRM and account documentation current and accurate. 
  • Support pricing and quoting strategy within company guidelines to maximize profitability and long-term account value. 
  • Track competitive activity and market trends; recommend actions to defend and grow share. 
  • Represent Werk-Brau at customer sites, dealer events, trade shows, and industry meetings as needed. 
  • Complete required training as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in key account management, strategic sales, or major account leadership (senior/enterprise level preferred). 
  • Demonstrated success driving growth through strategic planning, relationship development, and value-based selling. 
  • Strong understanding of dealer/distributor models and channel management best practices. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to influence stakeholders at multiple levels. 
  • Highly organized and self-directed; able to work independently in a remote environment. 
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
  • Ability to travel within the Midwest region as needed. 
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

Work Environment: 

  • Working conditions are normal for an office/home office environment; however, much of the time will be spent in the field. 
  • Must be self-motivated and self-managed.
