Senior HR Generalist – Onsite | Indianapolis, IN

We’re seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support a high‑volume distribution environment and serve as the onsite HR lead for a growing, operations‑driven organization. This role is fully onsite and partners closely with local leadership to drive HR strategy, support employees, and ensure a compliant, high‑performance workplace.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the HR Generalist for managers and supervisors at the distribution center
  • Handle day‑to‑day employee relations, investigations, coaching, and corrective actions
  • Oversee HR compliance, safety practices, and workforce policy adherence
  • Support activities across benefits, leave administration, payroll questions, and workers’ compensation
  • Lead new‑hire orientations and training for exempt and non‑exempt employees
  • Leverage HRIS tools to drive process improvements and support reporting
  • Partner with HR leadership in a collaborative, highly communicative structure

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including 4+ at the Generalist level
  • Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and frontline HR support
  • Experience working in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred
  • Comfortable being the sole HR presence onsite, supporting 100+ employees
  • Strong HRIS aptitude; experience with process improvements a plus
  • Knowledge of benefits, LOA, payroll workflows, workplace safety, and multi‑state labor laws
  • Confident communicator who can influence, push back appropriately, and build trust
  • Bachelor’s degree required (or Associate’s + HR certification)
