Senior Executive Assistant


LHH is partnering with a leading organization in Bethesda, MD to provide temporary support for a senior executive leadership team. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Executive Assistant who is proactive, exceptionally organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-demand environment supporting C-suite or senior-level executives.


Location: Bethesda, MD (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Duration: Through August 2026 (with potential to extend)

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: $27–$37 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, onsite


Position Overview

This role provides dedicated, high-level executive support to an EVP and their broader leadership team of approximately 30 direct reports. The ideal candidate is a calm, resourceful, and highly dependable professional who can anticipate needs, manage shifting priorities, and ensure seamless daily operations for a senior executive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive executive support to an EVP and coordinate across a leadership team of ~30 stakeholders
  • Manage complex calendar scheduling, meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and capture accurate meeting notes and summaries
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, and detailed monthly itineraries (guidelines and preferences provided)
  • Process expense reports, reconcile receipts, and ensure timely submission of reimbursements
  • Handle incoming mail and distribute communications across the team as needed
  • Provide backup administrative support to other team members during peak periods or absences
  • Maintain operational continuity during executive travel or leave, ensuring all priorities remain on track
  • Anticipate needs and proactively resolve scheduling, communication, and administrative challenges

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of administrative or executive assistant experience supporting senior leadership or C-suite executives
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with cross-functional and sales-oriented teams
  • Highly proactive with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Adaptable, professional, and calm under pressure
  • Prior experience supporting large teams or finance-related environments is a plus
