The Opportunity

  • Lead the design of wastewater treatment facilities, including process, hydraulic, and system layouts
  • Work on a diverse portfolio of projects including treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems
  • Take projects from concept through detailed design and construction support
  • Build client relationships and develop into a trusted technical advisor
  • Progress into senior project management and leadership roles


The Role

You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on treatment facility design and performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop wastewater treatment facility projects, including process and system design
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, plans, and engineering studies
  • Perform design calculations, hydraulic analysis, and quantity estimates
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend upgrades or improvements
  • Support or lead project management activities on a range of project sizes
  • Develop construction cost estimates and support project budgeting
  • Assist with permitting and regulatory documentation
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical input and guidance
  • Support construction phase services, including design clarifications and coordination


What They’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
  • Strong experience in the design of wastewater treatment facilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain in Texas)
  • Experience preparing engineering designs, reports, and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills


Preferred Experience

  • Design experience across treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems
  • Experience with process design and hydraulic modeling
  • Background supporting construction administration for infrastructure projects
  • Project management experience on multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Texas PE license
